Digital Building Heritage

The Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) funded Digital Building Heritage (DBH) project at De Montfort University (DMU) in Leicester started on the 9th February with its first internal DMU team meeting. The project which lasted 11 months and finished on 31st December 2012  demonstrated digital technologies, techniques and expertise developed and/or used at De Montfort University to local and national heritage groups throughout the UK and to assist them in making collaborative bids with De Montfort University for Heritage Lottery Fund grants. The Digital Building heritage Project at De Montfort University worked with the National Coordinating Centre for Public Engagement (NCCPE) to publicize their research capabilities to potential HLF applicants and to support the brokerage process embodied in this project to ensure the best and most effective fit between researchers and community groups across the whole of the UK. Outcomes included 2 iPhone apps, and a numbers of 3D building reconstructions
